Bento Box San Mateo: Kaz Teriyaki Grill
The Bento Box San Mateo, Kaz Teriyaki Grill, is the place to go for speedy bento boxes, flavorful curry bowls, and our favorite Japanese pasta salad. Kaz Teriyaki Grill should also be visited in addition to Central Park. Visit this quick food establishment if you enjoy Japanese food. The miso soup, misir, and beef teriyaki served here are excellently cooked, according to visitors’ reviews. A good tea will be provided for you. Kaz Teriyaki Grill, which has its outdoor entrance and is nestled into the side of Saruki Japanese Market, is situated at the corner of Fourth Avenue and San Mateo Drive. When waiting in line to place your order, timing is essential. There will likely be a long line during peak lunch and dinner hours, but it usually moves quickly.

Saruki Japanese Market in San Mateo
Shuji Suruki established the first (and only) door-to-door Japanese grocery shop on wheels in the Bay Area in 1974, serving San Francisco, the Peninsula, and as far south as Salinas. His clients included families of Japanese businessmen Nisei and Sansei (2nd and 3rd generation Japanese) and farmers who grew carnations, roses, chrysanthemums, and strawberries. It took two days to travel to Salinas, and customers would wait until midnight for him to arrive and spend the night at a nearby motel. Suruki Japanese Foods opened its doors on Broadway Avenue in Burlingame in 1980. The Store on Wheels lasted another six months, visiting San Francisco and South San Francisco in the early evening hours. The store relocated to its current location as Suruki Supermarket in 1990 to increase the company. Since 1974, the company has proudly served the Bay Area.
